PROOF

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 3 November 2026

This policy explains what information the PROOF app ("PROOF", "we", "us") collects, why, and what you can do about it. We keep it short and in plain language.

Who is responsible

PROOF is developed and operated by Marcos Vieira Moriani, Madrid, Spain. For any privacy question or request, email helloproofapp@gmail.com.

What we collect

We do not sell your data, we do not show ads, and we do not use third-party tracking or advertising SDKs.

Our website and the iPhone waitlist

If you leave your email on our website to hear when PROOF is available on iPhone, we store that email, the date and how you found the site (for example "linkedin"). We use it only to send you that announcement, and we never share it. You can ask us to remove it at any time by emailing helloproofapp@gmail.com. The legal basis is your consent.

To know how many people visit the site, we count visits and button clicks together with the type of device (Android, iPhone or computer) and the source of the visit. We do not use cookies or third-party analytics, and we do not store IP addresses or anything that identifies you.

Why we use it

The legal basis is the performance of our agreement with you (providing the app) and our legitimate interest in keeping it safe. Notifications can be turned off at any time in Settings.

Who can see your content

Your proofs are visible only to you and to the members of the Squads you send them to. If you turn on "Share all my proofs" in Settings, members of all your Squads can see your full proof archive. Your name, @username and profile photo are visible to other PROOF users who share a Squad with you.

Where your data is stored

PROOF uses Google Firebase and Google Cloud (Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions and Firebase Cloud Messaging) as its service provider. Data may be stored on Google servers in the European Union or the United States, protected by Google's standard contractual clauses and security measures.

How long we keep it

Your rights

You can access, correct or delete your data at any time. Most of this can be done in the app (edit your profile, delete proofs and goals, or delete your account in Settings). You can also ask us for a copy of your data, object to its use, or make any other request under the GDPR by emailing helloproofapp@gmail.com. You also have the right to complain to the Spanish data protection authority (AEPD, www.aepd.es).

To delete your account, see how to delete your account.

Children

PROOF is only for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update the date above and, for important changes, let you know in the app.
